Bruce Bastian co-founded the WordPerfect Corporation with Alan Ashton in 1978. The cause of his death was complications of pulmonary fibrosis. He was 76 years old.
The New York Times explains that WordPerfect was user-friendly and highly customizable. It also had a free customer support line that I remember using. I always got a prompt and helpful response from customer support.
I was a fan of the software as were many other lawyers. I only reluctantly switched to Microsoft Word when my employer required the change.
